At the heart of the golfing activities of the club is the Professional’s shop which is run by fully qualified professional, Andrew Palmer and his team. Andrew offers tuition, both indoor and outdoor, golf services and advice to both members and visitors and his well-stocked shop provides an excellent range of the best known brands of golfing equipment and clothing.
Andy Palmer – Head Professional
With a BA Honours Degree in Golf Management and as a fully qualified PGA Professional, Andy has previously been Assistant Professional at Chorley since 2015 prior to starting as our Head Professional in March 2021 and has been a member of Chorley GC since 2003. Andy continues to play in both Professional and ProAm Tournaments throughout the year, with wins on both the Lancashire & North Region Tours. Andy also focuses his attention on the Juniors of the club running academies in the school holidays and also works with the local Golf Foundation representative, Andy Lee, bringing golf into schools under the Golf Roots initiative. Andy has a fully up to date DBS check and Child Safeguarding.
