Guidance

  • Green fees must be paid to the professional prior to play.

  • Members have priority on the course until 9:30am. and between 11:30am. and 1:30pm. and from 3.40pm. Onwards unless prior arrangements have been made with the Club Secretary.

  • Gentlemen’s Dress Code - (Course)

    Caps/Visors must be worn peak to the front.

    Shirts must have a collar and sleeves and should be tucked into trousers/shorts.  Polo neck and turtleneck collars are acceptable. Rugby, football, tracksuit tops or T-shirts are not permitted.

    Socks. Appropriate sport/golf socks should be worn.  There is no stipulation on the length of socks.

    Blue denim wear is not permitted on the course or in the Clubhouse.

    Trousers should be tailored and not tucked into socks, unless specifically designed for the purpose.  Tailored ¾ length trousers are  acceptable.  Military style trousers and tracksuit bottoms are not permitted

    Shorts should be tailored shorts of approximate knee length.  Short shorts, athletic or military shorts and those with drawstring waistbands are not permitted.

    Shoes.  Only regulation golf shoes may be worn. Trainers are unacceptable on the course or in the Clubhouse.
  • Ladies’ Dress Code - (Course)

    Caps/Visors must be worn peak to the front. 

    Shirts with or without sleeves must have collars.  Turtle and polo neck collars are acceptable.  Tank tops, tube tops and halter-tops are not permitted. Tailored shirts specifically designed to be untucked are allowed.

    Socks.  Appropriate sport/golf socks should be worn.  There is no stipulation on the length of socks.

  • Dress Code in the Clubhouse (Ladies & Gentlemen)

    At Club-organised Social Events smart casual dress is acceptable unless dinner/lounge suit is specified.

    At prize presentations, gentlemen prize winners are expected to wear jacket, collar and tie (i.e., sports jacket, blazer or suit).  Golf wear is acceptable for non-prize winners.

    At General Meetings, golf wear is not acceptable for ladies. Gentlemen must wear jacket, collar and tie (i.e., sports jacket, blazer or suit).

    Hats of any description must not be worn in the Clubhouse except in the locker rooms or at special occasions.
  • Please note: the Dress Code also applies to children.

  • Juniors (Under 18) - Even if playing with a full member, juniors are only permitted to tee off at the following times: 1 April to 31 October Saturdays and Sundays after 1.00pm, Weekdays - not between 4.30pm & 6.00pm. 1 Nov to 31 March Saturdays no restriction, Sundays after 1.00pm, Weekdays no restriction. Please note full members have priority at all times and if requested, juniors should give way to adults on the first tee.

  • Except on competition days, visitors who pay the full fee may play without members at weekends and on bank holidays only after prior arrangement with the Club Secretary.

  • A visitor may only claim concessionary green fees ten times in any one season irrespective of the member inviting him or her.

  • All visitors are required to produce evidence of a current handicap.

  • Visitors who do not play at the speed of the course may be asked to leave.

  • Mobile Phones must not be used on the course, in the main lounge, or in the dining room. Whilst mobile phones can be used in the Clubhouse visitors and members are respectfully asked to move to the entrance hall before engaging in a conversation.
